Ask Dr. Traci
If you have a question about a wound that the Wound Wizard pages did not answer, you can send it here. Dr. Traci A. Kimball, MD, MBA reviews the questions that come in.
What this is. General wound care education, answered in plain language. A reply may take several days.
What this is not. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for being examined. No one can assess a wound they cannot see. If you are already being treated, the instructions you were given for your own wound come first.
Do not use this form for an urgent problem. It is not monitored continuously and it is not a way to reach the clinic quickly.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. For an urgent concern about a wound, call The WISH Clinic on 303-940-1611 rather than sending a message here.
Before you type. Please do not include dates of birth, insurance or account numbers, or anyone else’s name. Tell us only what we need to understand the question. This form sends your message by email, which is not a secure or encrypted channel — treat it the way you would treat any ordinary email.
Many of the questions people send are already answered in the Wound Wizard, which now covers thirty-nine of the questions patients ask us most often. It is worth a look first — you may get an answer straight away rather than waiting for a reply.
